<CT> New Calmira = Totally new problems?

Hi all.
I downloaded the latest Calmira version (3.11 beta
1a), and I have some trouble: Whenever I have more
than three or four windows simultaneously open (I
think it happens only with program windows, not simple
icon windows, i.e. notepad+write+cardfile+calculator
etc.) the system hangs!
The previous version I used, had not hanged A
SINGLE TIME, even under great (ab)use!
My system is a 486DX/33, 8MB RAM.
Anyone having any problem like mine? Maybe I'll
reinstall and see what goes...
