Hello Andrew.
Some years ago, my wife bought me a box set of Michael Palin
books, which I put at one side, and will eventually get round to
reading. I will look forward to them.
Incidentally, when I worked in Manchester, I used to go for a
drink at lunch times to a pub called the Grey Horse. I
understand that Michael Palin was a regular customer there, but I
didn't meet him.
There's a funny story about that pub. One day I was walking
past it, and stopped to look at my watch. I then carried on my
journey. The next time I went into that pub, the landlady told
me that when she saw me outside the pub, she pulled my usual pint
for me, expecting me to be going in.
