Hi all I hope you are all well.
Carolyn and myself have spent tireless hours trying to form the teams for the
relay and after studying our ace Statto Andy Wrights weird and wonderful
race/runner ratings we decided to put all the names into a hat and randomly
draw the teams and by chance they actually look like we have tried to work
things out!
We had interest from 52 runners in total which is great but unfortunately this
is more runners than places available but it does make our jobs a bit easier as
it allows reserves for the inevitable dropouts nearer the time (only severe
injury like the loss of both legs or death is a permitted excuse for dropping
out)
We only have 4 team entries from pre covid and these have been carried over to
this year's event and with the lack of more runners coming forward we have
decided it would not be a viable option to try and enter a fifth team (if we
get another influx of names from this email then we could try and explore this
option)
We have tried to balance out the teams with the information we have and
therefor there is a small number of people who have not got a team place at
this time, but this could change as I have said earlier and we would appreciate
it if these people would be ok to be reserves and step in if needed but if you
are on the reserve list and do not wish to be anymore please drop one of us a
message it's not a problem.
