It’s that time of year again. All the mince pies have been eaten and we all
need to work hard on our exercise programs now its the New Year to get
ourselves back in to peak condition for all those races coming up.

It is also the time for membership renewal and due to the current financial
climate the committee has decided to keep the renewal fee at just £10.00,
which I am sure you will agree is something of a bargain. This also fits in
well with the club ethos of fell running being for all.

We manage to keep the membership fee so low by raising money from the races
we organise, but to be able to put on these races the organisers are always
looking for helpers. Please offer to help when you are not doing the actual
race as this is a great way to support your club and meet other club members
you might not have met in the past.

To renew your membership (for those without a standing order) please send a
bank transfer to the following account, making sure you give your name as
the reference so that we can see who the payment is from:

Alternatively, you can pass me your renewal fee and I will try to be
available at the Tuesday evening training sessions.

If you have a Standing Order then no action is required.

Senior members in full time education are eligible for free membership. I
know of a couple of eligible members, but please inform me if you think I
might have missed you.

Anyone who is claiming universal credit or job seekers allowance will also
be eligible for free membership. Please contact me directly and I will
organise your 2022 membership in complete confidence.

Let’s be optimistic, let’s hope we can get racing together, training
together and importantly, socialising together in 2022 without the
restrictions of the previous 2 years.

One further point. If you have changed address in the past couple of years
and not notified me, please DM me so that I can keep our records up to date.
