You're not intruding at all, fire away.

You're completely right, but over in the UK at least, challenging a Registered
Trade Mark costs £200. Hence if someone else registers it and demands we change
our name, it will cost at least £200 to disprove them by proving we have been
around longer.

Registering one costs £200 too. You can use the term TM or Trade Mark without
cost,
but using the term "Registered Trade Mark", RTM or the round cirle thing with
an R
in it is illegal if you haven't registered it. (at least in the UK/Europe
a.f.a.i.k.)

I rang the company today but just got an answerphone.

Legal issues suck, I'd rather spend effort on more constructive things but it
needs
to be done or things get complicated.
