Good grief...is this a Troll ?

So why did you make the time and effort to find it ???

That's pretty bizzaire.

First....It's not a independent survey, it's a list of one sites most Popular
downloads

Second....It says...well you can read ?

Week ending January 12

 1. Linux-Mandrake 5,447 downloads
 2. Red Hat Linux 4,821 downloads
 3. Wine 2,903 downloads
 4. giFT 2,808 downloads
 5. Doom for Linux (Complete) 2,663 downloads

No, I am not going to waste my time looking further due to point 1 (a.k.a.
First).

Third....Just because they have been downloaded, doesn't mean they are used
full time.
Some people download, try and use and chuck a distribution, then try another,
and another, until they find one they are comfortable with.
I'm sure there are a lot of people that have downloaded and tried stuff,
didn't like it and then deleted it.
I have downloaded and installed probably over 100 unixes os's / versions over
the last Seven years, but at the workstation/gui level, use my wife's when
it's up (converted her to Linux a couple of years ago). :-)

So downloads are pretty much irrelevent. It's what people actually settle on
and use that matters.

back to CAD stuff.
