hoaxes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx has the story of a woman who bought a Neiman Marcus
cookie after having lunch at a restaurant at their store. She asked the
waitress if she could buy the recipe. "Sure," was the reply, "it costs
two-fifty."
Weeks later she received her credit card bill and found a charge for $250.00
for the cookie recipe. After complaining and being told that the charge would
stand, she e-mailed everyone she knew with the "purchased" recipe telling them
to pass it on to everyone and anyone in hopes of vindicating the unfair charge.
Actually, the whole story is a hoax although the recipe does look like it
would be tasty. I'd be willing to taste test if anyone wants to try the recipe!
