What Ron has stated is actually not true... sorry Ron )-:
*Standard Takeoff:*
A Boeing 738 with a climb out speed set to 250 knots and a rate of climb
set to 1,800 feet per minute, will attain 3,000 feet in approximately 1
minute 45 seconds, or 105 seconds.
*Noise Abatement Takeoff:*
The same Boeing 738 with a climb out speed set to 200 knots and a rate of
climb set to 900 feet per minute, will attain 3,000 feet in approximately 3
minutes 15 seconds, or 195 seconds.
*Summary:*
Thus, it takes approximately 90 seconds longer to get to 3,000 feet AGL in
the Noise Abatement mode. All other aspects of the flight are identical in
both the Standard and Noise Abatement modes.
