Orin,
To clarify, does it work if you don’t load a tour and just do a free flight on
minimal settings?
Thanks,
Zack.

The odd thing is that it crashes when setting the graphics and scenery to
minimal settings. Free flights are fantastic, bu I really want to do these
tours.

FSX is extremely graphically intensive, and I can tell you that I even have
trouble at times even with my high end laptop that should handle FSX just
fine. Fortunately, I have never had FSX crash on this computer due to
graphics being too high. I have had it crash because it cannot use my
computer's memory properly though.

Hi all,
Can anybody help out with this? FSX sets graphics/scenery to Ultra High on
this new Windows machine. Checklists in free flight fly with the default
settings and it works just fine on Ultra high. With the tours, I
experienced sluggishness. Following Robert’s advice, I attempted to set the
graphics/scenery to minimal. When loading a tour, IYP gets to “I am
prepairing tour information. Please wait”, and crashes with the “Microsoft
simulator is not responding and I can either wait or close, that dialogue.
I’d appreciate any help.
