If I remember correctly it goes in your Other folder located in the Flights
Folder of FSX.

Thanks. Also...if you've tried sending that file, it's not coming through as an
attachment or anything. Send a link to it, and please let me know where to put
it in my FSX installation. Thanks!

Oh I know. The FSX Flight Planner has been pathetic at best for as long as I
can remember. Looking at the SimBrief tutoriral video now to see if I would
like to use it. If I decide to use it, I will see if I can figure out a way
for you to be parked at a gate.

Alrighty then, I'll take the file. I just wish SimBrief would allow for that
level of fine-grained control, because the FSX flight planner is woefully out
of date. I don't even know what AIRAC cycle it's using, nor do I know of any
way to update its databases.

This file will work with all aircraft as far as I have been able to tell.Blind and Visually impaired Pilots mailinglist
Since I use FSX's flightplanner, I can set the position of the aircraft to
an active runway or to a gate or ramp position.

Sure, I'll take it. Will this file also work for custom, add-on aircraft? Or
would I need to modify it to handle that? Also, where will the aircraft be
positioned if I use this file...at the gate, or at the runway? Because it
seems, and I have no way to verify this, that when I start a flight with a
flight plan loaded, the aircraft is positioned on the runway.

Flights in FSX. It will have all aircraft already be at the cold and dark
state with 0 fuel in the tanks. Let me know if you want it.

Subject: [bvipilots] Two Questions/Problems
Hi guys,
So, it's me again...with two problems this time.
Problem 1:
In preparation for flying online on VATSIM, I started to pay more attention
to the way I load a flight plan and a flight. What I've noticed is that
SimBrief, which I like to use for generating my FSX flight plans, has a
tendency to want to start the aircraft at a given runway, not at a gate or
ramp. In addition, when I create a brand new flight, for some reason the
thing is loaded with the engines on and the aircraft moving...definitely
not something I want when trying to prepare to fly online! I decided to try
setting up the "Location" section of the free flight window with the
airport and gate, rather than the airport and the default of "Active
Runway," but it still didn't do quite what I wanted. What would you all
suggest I do to keep from starting with the aircraft moving and the engines
on?
Problem 2:
Zack mentioned this "Live ATC" mode that is available in IYP that is used
when flying online. However, I can't find any info about it on the website
(the section just reads "***Under Construction***"), nor can I get the IYP
window to focus properly to change the active ATC mode from Simple ATC Plus
to the other mode. I'm using JAWS and Windows 10. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance for your help.
