This message is mostly to Robert, but anyone else who may be interested as well.
In short, I love PF3, the successor and rewrite of PFE. Since this ATC
addon is not directly supported by IYP, it can be hard to get it
working with IYP. Currently, I have IYP in the simple ATC+ mode with
the MSATC voices off. Despite the setting to auto-open ATC window
turned off, I think IYP continues to open the ATC window anyway.
So, if I tune to the clearance frequency and press 0, the hotkey used
to request it, PF3 doesn't request it due to the MSATC window in the
way. If I tell IYP to toggle ATC, the hotkey works.
This message is mainly to ask Robert if it's possible to have another
ATC mode implemented to interface with PF3? You already half support
it with the PFE support you have, however since PF3 is completely
rewritten from scratch, I'm not sure how relevant that is anymore.
I'm wondering if there's an easier way around this problem currently.
Unlike the issues we have with Radar Contact, where it does final
approach too early before you can capture the glideslope, PF3 vectored
me perfectly last night. Here is that whole flight on Youtube.
