I am wondering if anyone is getting the Prepare Aircraft for Departure to
Airport command to work properly when doing continuing flights. I just did
leg one of 3 from Daytona Beach, KDAB, to Tampa, KTPA, and I figured that it
would be easy enough to select the flight plan for the next leg, Tampa to
Miami, KTPA to KMIA and then say prepare aircraft for departure to KMIA. I
received the message from Michelle that the aircraft was ready and to set
the top of climb altitude. Here is when the problem occurred. Right after
she said that, I could not get her to respond to anything I said. I tried
to set the top of climb altitude, which would have been FL220, no response,
I said get flight data, no response, and I tried setting the top of climb
altitude again with no response. I am pretty sure IYP is not crashing
because I do not get any error messages or indications and the cabin music
was still playing with no problems. Am I doing something wrong or is there
a bug with this feature, I have never gotten it to work on any computer I
have used over the years, and I would like to know if I should try again or
should I do what I usually would do which is to find the flight plan and hit
okay and say no to moving my aircraft. Then I save the flight with the
aircraft still parked and with it set after going through the parking
checklist. Then I load that flight I just saved. Thoughts anyone?
