Start a short test recording at that point.
Say the phrase, "Get local weather."
After report is given, say, "We have the weather."

Consider YOUR MICROPHONE voice recording level as the reference level.
Set your PC playback level (i.e. Michelle/Mike level) relative to the

Set your FSX ATC sound levels relative to the reference.
Repeat the procedure as needed.
On subsequent recording that employ different aircraft, you will only need
to repeat the process and set your FSX ambient and engine sound levels
relative to the reference. This assumes that you have not altered the PC
sound playback levels at some point.
