Hi everyone,
So Mike, who's also on this list, made an MP3 file showcasing IYP and
how we sim, basically.
There's a few things that my IYP doesn't do that his does. For one,
I've just activated advanced mode, should've done that a while ago and
got that taken care of.
Second, is the "Avionics set for departure?" a dummy checklist item?
The reason I ask is because when Mike says, in his recording, "Set
avionics for departure", it works and IYP replied back with Roger. I
get nothing out of mine and just confirm it. Why is that? I went
through the speech training program about three times in the history
I've been using IYP.
Another thing... once he completed his descent checklist, IYP had said
we hope you enjoyed your flight with us today, let's secure the
aircraft for landing.
Mine doesn't do that. Is this because he was in the online mode?
Finally, upon approach list execution, IYP started descending to
intersect the glideslope. That's normal, but mine doesn't read the
altitudes as the aircraft descends at this point. Mine right now only
starts calling out altitudes once the Glideslope has been captured.
PF3, meanwhile, told him to descend to 3000 for final, and when he did
the approach checklist, IYP started with 2,900, 2,800, etc.
Any help with this would be appreciated, especially with the approach
list descent altitudes before the glideslope capture.
