Try removing the aircraft and adding it again.

It's there, but the only thing in there's a state.cfg file, which I'm
pretty sure is supposed to be there.

Just for the sake of double-checking, make sure you don't somehow have a
copy of it in %APPDATA%\Microsoft\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes.

So after deleting the contents of
C:\Program Files
(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\fal7tlyx\sound
and replacing it with the Skysong Soundworks sounds, it still plays
the default sounds. The question is, where are these sounds,
considering I deleted the contents of the sound folder, which only had
two folders, groundhandleing and Groundhandeling5, which I never heard
being used.
After putting the Skysong Soundworks sounds in there from the backup I
created direct in another folder per Jordan's suggestion, it is still
playing these sounds.
Does Steam create another folder for aircraft data to avoid Windows
security crap?
