Orin,

Were you making a visual approach? Past a certain point, ATC does expect you to
cancel your IFR flight plan if it’s a visual.
Best,
Zack.

Having an issue with PF3 where, PF3 at a certain point on landing,
tuned the frequency to one provided by active Sky, and then PF3 ATC
canceled my plan. That was pretty weird. I'll have to listen to
Jordan's videos to see if maybe I did something wrong.

PF3 is now working!!  All videos after the one I will be putting up by the
weekend will be using PF3.  The only thing that you will notice that IYP is
doing that is not correct is asking me to Announce Taxi and Announce Take
off clearences even though I am flying an IFR flight from towered airports.
Wonder what would happen if I switched back over to Simple ATC and tried to
tune to the ATIS.  I will have to give that a try tomorrow and if that
works, problem solved.  I have figured out how I am going to be using PF3.
I am going to have the co-pilot set to just tune the frequencies until I am
ready to take-off.  Then I am going to switch PF3 to where the co-pilot
will
handle all coms so I can take care of flying the plane.  A heads up if you
use NVDA and have the Hot Key set to Cntrl Shift N, you will either want to
change that hot key or change the hot key for Negative or No because
apparently leaving it like that will screw up your NVDA settings.  PF3 was
definitely worth the purchase, and now flying feels more like it should
especially in aircraft that would normally have a co-pilot or a second
pilot
handling the coms.
