Hello Declan,
Please correct me if I am wrong, but as I recall you are relatively new to
flying. If this is indeed the case, then I would suggest that you spend a
minimum of 40 hours of flying in the Cessna C172SP before moving on to
other aircraft. Here's a link to a flight school that provides the lists of
requirements in order to obtain a Private Pilot License (PPL) for
both visual (VFR) and instrument (IFR) accreditation.
http://www.ataflightschool.com/172training.html
I would humbly suggest that in order to master the following (since it
involves instrument flight rules (IFR)):
1. Departing from a Non-Towered Airport
2. Departing from a Towered Airport
3. En Route ATC Communications
4. Performing an ILS Approach at a Non-Towered Airport
5. Performing a Visual Approach at a Non-Towered Airport
6. Performing an ILS Approach at a Towered Airport
7. Performing a Visual Approach at a Towered Airport
it will take you approximately 100 hours of flying/studying time in a
Cessna Skyhawk.
Then, you can repeat the process by moving on to twin engine, turbo-props,
jetliners, etc.
If you attempted to master all of the aircraft listed on the IYP site,
you'd likely be required to spend the next 5-years having fun!
That's just my opinion.

Hi, the selection of planes on Microsoft FSX is good, but they don't
on the IYP website, but does anyone have any suggestions of good free
planes that work with IYP?Blind and Visually impaired Pilots mailinglist
