So, I did all the checklists and landed successfully last night, but
now I have another problem. This problem is something that IYP
handles, so I'm not sure what to do about it.
My flight report with Delta VA was held again. This was the comments I got:
Dear Joshua,
ACARS data shows you went off the runway on departure, struggling to
gain positive rate at 189 KIAS on a 10,000 foot runway. Perhaps a
little overweight or an elevator trim issue?
As far as weight, I had the Delta Acars do it for me. Plus, I just
tried to fly this flight as a free flight, and it took a pretty long
while to get to V2. That's without doing any of the weight
calculations with Acars.
IYP also has trouble loading the fuel for this flight. Usually the
Acars software offloads some, while IYP loads the max.
I don't understand why every other blind person is in the 737 program
but me. I told them I was blind; perhaps they do that for a specific
reason because of issues like this. Yet they put me in the CRJ
program. I wasn't expecting problems like this, but live and learn, I
guess.
