Hi back at you Hadi.
I followed your advice I did the following.
select departure. select destination. select IFR. select high alt. press
enter on "find route"
then tab away and set your cruise altitude. then tab untill you land at
"ok button"
press the ok button. the save window now shows up. tab and hit the save
button. now it asks you that if you want to place your aircraft at
departure. hit yes.
Then once you're back at fsx window, save your flight. then load your
flight.
The IFR dot PLN file still isn't poping up in the my documents folder.
I guess I need to ask Robert.
Because I'm not seeing what is going wrong.
Thanks for the help.

Hello ron
You're doing an extra step which is not needed. you say:
"then tabbed over to where it told me to click on save and it
gave the shortcut of alt a.
But I just smacked enter on it.
Then tab over and smacked the enter key on the save button which was alt s."

you should not do that.

select departure. select destination. select IFR. select high alt. press
enter on "find route"
then tab away and set your cruise altitude. then tab untill you land at
"ok button"
press the ok button. the save window now shows up. tab and hit the save
button. now it asks you that if you want to place your aircraft at
departure. hit yes.
Then once you're back at fsx window, save your flight. then load your
flight.

Well, don't know why.
But the PLN which is the flight plan file is not being saved.
I have done more flight plans than I can count.
The File that isn't showing up for a example from my older flight plans is
IFR Erie Intl, K E R I to Capitol City Intl, K C X Y. In a Private Dassault Falcon 7X Aircraft.PLN Now this time instead of using the shortcuts, I simply just tabbed to what I needed from IFR, to High ALT, then tabbed over to find flight, and smacked enter on that so it would find the flight. Then tab to the alt settings and setting the alt that I want which for this flight is 210, then tabbed over to where it told me to click on save and it gave the shortcut of alt a.
But I just smacked enter on it.
Then tab over and smacked the enter key on the save button which was alt s.
Then I tabbed over and smacked the enter key on the ok button.
Then the do you want to use this runaway poped up and I said yes then tabbed over to the ok button once again.
Then from the main menu I gave the flight a name.
The PLN files are just not showing up in the doc file and Michele can't see the flight plan.
So what am I doing wrong?
Now I have read and read and followed the instructions in the flight deck pamlet with no luck as well. I ask again, should I install the fsx disk one and click on the repair button to see if I have something wrong with my install of fsx?
Thanks.

Ron, like Jason mentioned try doing the procedure without all that
shortcuts.
what i'm guessing is that you're not saving your flight, and also you're
not choosing IFR in that radio checkbox in the flight planner window

Hi Ron,
As a few of us have mentioned, there are no IFR files. The only files you
need for a flight are the flt, wx, and pln files. If Michelle isn't
finding your flight plan, try going through the procedure in the flight
deck dock and follow it exactly, no shortcuts.
If that still doesn't work, Robert may have to step in.

Hadi, I haven't changed anything.
But here's what I do to file a flight plan.
1. Alt P from the main menu.
Tab over to country, then press the first letter of the country.
U for United States.
Tab over one more time to state and press the letter P for Pennsylvania.
Tab over and press h for Harrisburg.
Then Tab over for the gate and I grab the refueling station. Then tab
over to the ok button.
Then press E for the Arrival airport.
Then do everything that I did above except for the gate and then once
again tab over to the ok button and smack enter on the ok button.
Then Press Alt I for IFR which for some reason isn't taking.
Then press alt h for high alt, then press alt f for find flight, then
press alt r instead of tabing over about ten times and set your cruising
alt, then press alt a to havin your IFR flight plan show up in front of
you then press alt s to save the flight plan.
Then press Alt S to give the flight plan a name and description.
Then if you go to your my documents folder then go to flight plans, you
should see the following files about your flight plan.
the IFR or VFR, the FT file, the PLN file and the wx or weather file.
But for some reason the IFR files are not showing up and Michele tells us
that a flight plan hasn't been been filed.
Should I probably try putting back in my FSX disk one and click on
repair?
Do't know what else to do.
Please advise.

You might want to check IYP's manual. you may have forgotten the
procedures to load a flight.
.PLN files=IFR file plans.

Usually in the flight plan folder in my documents, you'll see the ft
files, the pln files, the ft files and the ifr or vfr files.
I'm not seeing the IFR files.

Hi Ron,
I'm a bit confused. You say you are seeing a pln file. That is your
flight plan. So what aren't you seeing exactly? When you save the
flight plan, the default filename will start with IFR unless you change
the name.

Hi to all.
I worked on FSX and reinstalling everything yesterday.
Now when I file a flight plan, I see in the flight plan folder the ft
file, the pln file and the wx files.
But even though when I go to file a flight plan I always use the alt I
combo to make sure the flight plan is files as a IFR fligh tplan, the
IFR files isn't showing up.
Now why is this?
I even switched to a different airplane to see if I might have
installed one of my birds incorrectly.
But still the IFR files are not showing up.
Also, even though I now am also hearing everything I should be hearing
and also through the headset's speakers.
I'm still not hearing the audio clicks
For now I just would like to be able to file a IFR fp.
I can try to figure out why I'm not hearing the clicks at a later
date.
Thanks for the help.
Ron who's almost there.
