It really is. I know Ron asked them about the flight following and VA-like
feature that IYP had, but MCE is just a co-pilot. Nothing less, nothing more.
Plus, while they said they’ll add landing assistance, they don’t want to add
This is primarily because the complex aircraft like your PMDGs, JustFlight, etc
aircrafts don’t give the data to support it. We will be limited with these
aircraft because not all of the aircraft MCE support’s FMC can be programmed
with the FMC voice commands. I wonder if OCRing the screen will do the trick.
Still, adding/removing waypoints is going to be kind of hard, and this is where
ProATC/X comes in as I think it can do that for you. The downside is that the
MCE developer team and Pro ATC/X team had a falling out and so MCE won’t
support it directly. The MCE developer Gerrald said as much on Jason’s topic on
the forums that adding and removing waypoints would be difficult, since MCE
can’t see the data on the FMC to be able to add/remove them with a command. Nor
can we, unless we can somehow get OCR to work.
If you want to be adventuress and try out an FMC-equipped aircraft that MCE
probably supports, check out JustFlight’s freemium Boeing-777.

Thanks Josh. MCE is going to take some getting used to but it is definitely
more realistic than IYP ever was.

Everything should be set correctly regarding BVI mode, if you did the wizard
and Sapi talked you should be good regarding that.
Now, for ATC and PF3, I have the following under the “[ATC]” section:
If you don’t want the FO to always dial frequencies automatically, set it to
0 or don’t add it at all.
I have this set to 0 because of FSX Pilot, but set to 1 it’ll dial headings,
speeds, etc that PF3 instructs automatically.
And the rest you leave as is. I paraphrased the actual options because I
don’t have access to the file at the moment.

Okay, I found the CFG file. What things in it do I need to change?
