Hello to my fellow BVI Pilots using PF3 ATC.
First something to help my fellow PF3 ATC pilots out with.
Did you know just like in the real world we need to open our flights with
flight services?
Here is a good example.
When you’re looking down the list of frequencies, look for fss.
Switch to that frequency and tap the dash key which is in between the equals
key and the zero key.
For a example, well on my keyboard I have the following from right to left I
have the back space, the equals key, then the dash key and then the zero.
I tap the dash key then the zero key.
Also, I’ve found out that some times it takes a couple of hits on the zero key
before the command will go through.
So if you press the zero key once and you don’t hear anything, press it a
couple of times.
Now for the huge favor.
I’m shipping to you a copy of my ini files.
Maybe it might show you why I go a stray and don’t show up at the destination
that I start out for.
I tried once again last night to fly in my df7x from KERI to KAZO.
I was roughly 180 miles out then I started going a stray.
Meaning, for some weird reason, at 180 miles out, I started going away from
where I should have been going since the miles started around at 180, then it
went to 190 and I kept flying a stray.
I started out with runway six which would put me at the two o’clock position
for take off. I was then told to turn to zero niner zero, then the only other
heading I was told to turn to was a heading that I was told to change to which
was 235 dg.
So if you could, please take a look at my PF3 ATC INI files and hopefully they
will tell you why I keep going off course from the destination I want to fly
to.
A huge thanks for the help.
Ron who can take off, but for some reason can never find his destination so
that he hopefully some day soon can land once again.
