I apologize for the manual deficiency.

Sarah,

Layovers aren’t simiulated in the sim. You’re probably honestly better off
just doing separate flight plans to get  that effect.

Ok, so what if I did go from vegas to dfw to the airport in monreau. That
is in theory 1 flight with a layover in dfw. Would I in practice have to
file a flight plan for vegas to dfw, then from dfw to monreau? I'm also
asking on behaof of someone who is putting together a project that involvs
if they have to make separate flights as some do have layovers over 300
flight plans.

Thanks.

Hi,

IYP has been designed so as to emulate the real world of flying wherever
and however possible.

In the real world, every leg of a trip has it own complete route. i.e.,
origination to destination.

Joshua,

REGARDING: I've read somewhere in the IYP manual that it is possible, but
have no idea how it can be done.

For information regarding Turn-Arounds and Continuing Flights, refer to
PAGE 34 of the IYP Flight Deck Doc Users' manual.

No, the simulator considers a flight plan to just have one origin and one
destination. To be fair, I think that the idea of just having multiple
plans for each leg is entirely reasonable, and doesn't need any kind of
fancy tricks.

In the flight plan dialogue there is not way to "add" an air port to
your thing? As dn't most pilots have multiple stops anyway like from dfw to
nashvill to monrau?

Take care.

Orin,

THere are a few commands which can help with this.

If you bring up the GPS, you can say “Mike, let’s go direct to airport
<airport code>,” which can fly you directly from where you are to where
ever the airport is. If you’re under ATC control you might want to get
permission for this first. :) THe destination airport command does a bit
more than set the ACARS data. I think it might also be useful for this
problem.

One thing though, your FSE flights don’t all have to be flown at the
same time, even if they’re multi legged. The client just tracks when you
land and take off, and you can handle each “leg,” separately, pretty easily.

This is just a few thoughts, I’ll probably have something more
coherent later. HOpefully others will have more ideas too.
Good luck,
Zack.

Hi all,

So I've recently got into FSEconomy, and they basically say the best
way to max your chances of earning a lot of money is to do multileg
flights.

I've read somewhere in the IYP manual that it is possible, but have no
idea how it can be done. Basically, I remember reading having to cheat
the simulator so you tricked it into thinking the new destination is
the final one, in flightplan terms. I thought it was as simple as
saying "Make the destination Airport "X", but that's only for Acars,
and I don't know if that command will accept alternate airports other
than the planned final destination. It would suck to have to create
flightplans for each leg. What I thought I could do, was make the
start and end destinations as a flightplan, and then change the
destination after landing at each part of the leg with the "make
destination" command, and continue to the next leg.
I wish it was as simple as the FSE documentation says it is for most
people... simply deviate from the plan and land somewhere else. IYP
doesn't deviate from the plan though, which is fine. unless there is
flight planning software that can create the routes and IYP will
change the route destination accordingly from a new departure airport?
