Greetings Captain Jody, the problem in my experience is the Accelleration
Pack.

Provided you have FSX and Service pack 2 installed, you don't need it.

I had exactly the same issue, and binning the acceleration pack sorted
things out.

Subject: [bvipilots] Display issue: JFW with FSX

Windows 7, 32-bit, FSX + acceleration, FSUIPC 4.8, JFW 11. When I load FSX,
after I press fly now after building a flight, and the aircraft is loaded,
if I alt tab away from FSX to do anything else with the PC, i.e., load IYP,
or something else, somehow JFW can no longer read things correctly. For
example, dialog boxes are not read correctly. When routing JFW cursor to PC
to read, I simply get, "blank, blank." When in a text editor, no words are
ever read, simply "blank, blank." What in the world happens to JFW when FSX
is loaded?
The only way I have ever found to solve this is to restart my pc completely.
I have tried unloading and reloading JFW, putting the PC to sleep and
reawakening it, both to no avail. It is absurd that I have to restart my PC
every time I finish with FSX, just to get JFW to read correctly. One would
believe that when FSX is closed, any changes affecting JFW would revert, but
apparently that is not the case. Could someone please help? I'm tired of
restarting my PC.
Lol.
