Greetings BUBS,
I have been reading the recent emails and wanted to reach out to everyone
with a proposition. It is my belief that all who are and have been involved
with BUBS wants the same thing, to go sailing and make lasting connections
with new friends. I am suggesting that a meeting be scheduled for everyone
in the BUBS community in the next couple of weeks. I have spoken to Inky
and Grace and I think that this is the best way for us to keep this growing
community thriving and in one piece. Community Boating is more than happy
to host the meeting and provide refreshments and such. If this sounds
agreeable we can go ahead and pick a date and time that works for everyone.

BUBS and Sighted Guides,
Last night I hosted conference call with only blind sailors. The purpose
of this meeting was to review BUBS financial status and future regatta
plans. It is important to have a budget to work with for the season.
It is with great regretted that this morning I read Katherine’s message to
BUBS members and guides. At no time dealing with blind sailing, I ever
mentioned that “we do not need sighted guides” We all know without sighted
guides we cannot successfully achieve our goal during regatta.
My great appreciation goes to our dedicated sighted guides who always
assisted blind sailors in the past and future. You always going to be
welcome in the blind sailors world.
Blind sailors and guides there will be BUBS under ABC. If people wish to
move on and start another sailing group, we wish you the best. BUBS under
ABC will recruit new members and sighted guides. The process has started
and moving. If you are interested sailing with us, please contact us.

members. Upon my return from overseas trip, on 10/15/2018, I held a
conference call with only blind sailors to review BUBS financial situation

mentioned to anyone that “we do not need sighted people in our sailing
group: I know that our success as blind sailors goes along with the great
assistance from our dedicated sighted guides. I greatly regretted seeing
Katherine message to the blind sailors and dedicated guides.
BUBS and guides, I would like to inform you that there will be BUBS
activities under ABC. For those who wish to move on, we wish you the best.
Blind sailors and sighted guides who would like to assist BUBS under ABC,
please contact us with BUBS email cc to me. We started recruiting
interested blind sailors and guides for the 2019 sailing season. I would
like to thank many people who have reached out to me and your encouragement
is greatly appreciated. You will be notified of our next activity.
