FYI, beginning on Wednesday, 8/29, there will be no footbridge access to
CBI from Charles Circle over Storrow Drive as the existing footbridge is
being demolished and the new footbridge does not open until Saturday
morning, 9/1. I will forward the official announcement that contains
more detail to the list.

Hello everyone!
This is our last week of official BUBS practice for the 2018 season. Wow did that summer go by fast!
Who is in for Tuesday at Courageous at 5:30, and who is in for Thursday at CBI at 5:30? If you haven't made it out to a practice yet this season, or not in a while, I encourage you to get just a little bit of sailing in this week!
Last Tuesday we did something a little different - we took a crew of seven out on a CNC 35 and cruised to Castle Island and back. The photo attached shows a view of the cockpit from the cabintop with one of our new sailors, Chris, at the helm, Leo guiding from the backstay (and possibly impersonating a chicken), Katherine on the main and also on Jim (the guide dog) petting duty with Jay, Jason behind her with his hand on a winch, and Galen, who is mid discussion about the waxing gibbous moon. We do have fun.
Hope to see you this week - and stay tuned for an end of season get together. Also, don't forget to keep sailing! CBI is open until Halloween, and I know many of you are members. The universal access program can set up a lesson with an instructor if you call in advance. And, of course, you can always ask a BUBS guide to sail with you!
