Hello sailors!
The last pre-season/Robie Pierce practice this Wednesday, May 29, at 5:30
PM at Community Boating. We will be practicing in Ideal 18s.
Last week we had two Ideals and two sonars full of sailors, plus Katie in
the committee boat and an excellent crew of dog handlers on shore - thanks
Iris, Cammie, and Jacob! We did three practice races using the course we
expect at the Robie Pierce: a W4 with an offset and a gate. Guess what, the
sailing instructions are out! This is in fact one of the two courses they
will be using; the other is a W3 with an offset, gate, and upwind finish.
The sailing instructions are attached.
This week we will set the same course and just race. We'll try to make it a
shorter course this time so we can get in more races. If you're already
heading down to Rye for the women's regatta, best of luck!
Please reply to this email if you plan to attend on Wednesday so we can
reserve the right number of boats! See you there!
Your devoted coaches,
Grace and Leo
