Hey Everyone! I'm excited to see you all on Wednesday and for those of you who are new, welcome! Our first meeting of the semester will be this Wednesday, February 5th from 8-9pm in ME 245. That's the conference room above the ME main office. We will be going over information about elections for officer positions next year. Also we have an exciting update on the AIAA region I conference in April with confirmed dates! Tomorrow night we will spend most of the meeting preparing for our Eweek event, the paper airplane competition. In years past people would throw their planes, however this year I think we should have some consistency in the way they are "launched", sound interesting? Come to the meeting and find out what we are going to build. Lastly, remember there is a career fair tomorrow, so if you are interested in any of the aerospace companies go talk to them! Even if you don't think you can get the job as a freshman! I can't stress that enough, you can't get it if you don't apply and also it looks good talking to the recruiters each year, they take note of the resumes you hand in and how hard you are working. I will show you new examples of portfolio pages and what to do if you plan on applying to a company. Feel free to bring your laptops and work on your portfolios or resumes when I'm showing you the examples and ask questions! Chris, Mehmet, Dean, and I have all been through this to some extent. This is one of the main reasons to be a member of AIAA, to be a member of the professional and student aerospace community. See you all on tomorrow night! -Cory Absi -- *Boston University * *BS ENG'14* *BU AIAA President '13-'14* *BU SEDS Vice President '13-'14* Cory R.
