BSG: this morning while it was still raining I found 1 Caspian Tern, 2
Hudsonian Godwits, and 1 Avocet along with other shorebirds on the ground at
Tar Slough (my wetlands on Leonard Road). These, part of the set that usually
flies over us without stopping in spring, probably dropped out of night
migration due to the storms. Probably will be a last good day for smaller birds
now that the rain has stopped.
