Went to Kincaid today in the hopes of finding a year Painted Bunting as there
several nest along the riparian area below the dam. No luck on the bunting but
did locate year Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Dickcissel, and Baltimore Oriole. 30-40
birds is a good 2 hour trip to the Kincaid dam area. Good to find Blue
Grosbeaks and Indigo Buntings. ebird flagged the Yellow-rumped Warblers. Nice
to find a few scaup. And, the loon was the first I've recorded at Kincaid for
the 13-14 winter season. I visited regularly looking for odd ducks and grebes
during the winter.
