BIRD STUDY GROUP Friends, I don't think all of you subscribe to LABIRD so I am forwarding this report to BSG. Hope someone in NW Louisiana picks up a stable Bewick's Wren soon! I have been fortunate to travel to many areas of Louisiana and view many birds. Currently - first week in November - I have reached, by my count, 339 with the most recent addition being Yellow Rail. The biggest miss so far has been American Woodcock, thanks, primarily to last winter's drought. I do expect to find a "timber doodle" fairly soon. However, I am still seeking Common Goldeneye, Eared Grebe and Bewick's Wren as well as a good number of Review List birds. Please contact me off list if you'd like to know what birds I am still seeking. A list of the birds I have recorded so far is included on the Baton Rouge Audubon Society's website - www.braudubon.org . I would like to thank those who have joined with me and made commitments to make contributions to this fund raising endeavor including some already listed on the BRAS website. Jay Huner
