Red River National Wildlife Refuge- Headquarters Unit, Bossier, US-LA
Sep 22, 2013 6:30 AM - 11:00 AM
Protocol: Traveling
1.1 mile(s)
Comments:     Birded with Charlie Lyon, Ronnie Maum, Bill Wood and Mark Wilson.
Five observers, 4.5 hrs, 1.1 miles. Clear, 55 degrees, wind 5-+ N-e beginning,
then clear, ~70 degrees, wind 7 E/N-e ending. The morning was especially good
for some flycatchers and warblers. Best birds were Gadwall, FOS, Yellow-bellied

winter residents still not showing. After leaving the Chocolate trail, we also
birded a short stretch of woods/ thickets near the intersection of levee and rd
to back, this on the N end of the refuge- finding YBFL, NOPA and 2 of EAWP
there. Other than a single RHWO, we only listed the few migrants there.
