Subject: Birding along Toledo Bend 8-4-15
I birded the Oak Ridge Park in De Soto Parish in mid-morning and Converse Bay
Park in Sabine Parish in early afternoon today. It was a pretty nasty day in
terms of heat and an unrelenting sun despite some high cloud cover. But,
birding was reasonably good. Water was quite high in the lake but the ground
was very dry. The reports can be found on e-bird - Explore Data // Louisiana.
Species lists follow.
There is a decent rest room at Oak Ridge Park and plenty of bushes at Converse
Park. There is a convenience store with rest rooms at LA 191 at the entrance to
Oak Ridge Park
