In the interests of honesty and accurate reporting, I should confess that my
Great Horned Owl of last week was purchased at Wal-Mart according to the nice
lady who owns the tree. In my defense, its does have real feathers (though
slightly bedraggled)!

I was walking on my "plot" for Alsop's ornithology class at ETSU this afternoon
which consists of a section of the Green Belt in Kingsport next to Reedy Creek.
I discovered a nest with two yellow crowned night herons - big as life and
twice as natural.
Beautiful day-isn't birding fun?
