Area Birders:
Several birders were at Musick's Campground on South Holston Lake in Sullivan
County, TN this afternoon (8/22). The visiting was great and the birding good.

Three Caspian Terns, Great Egret 1, a shorebird flew past that may have been a
Solitary Sandpiper. 50-100 unidentified swallows were over in Virginia waters
but never came close. One Great Blue Heron, several Green Herons coming and
going and the usual good numbers of Canada Geese and Mallards.

Those present much of the afternoon: Jerry Thornhill, Jane Thornhill, Eric
Smith, Carolyn Coffey, Wallace Coffey, Rack Cross, Sam Cross (playing guitar
and birding) and Virg Carr (handing out UT football schedules, announcing
baseball score and providing two very large bags of tomatoes).

Let's go birding....
