Merrill Lynch and Harry LeGrand birded along the NC/TN state line in Ashe Co., NC and Johnson Co. TN just south of Virginia Wednesday, 28 May, and Thursday, 29 May 2014. Both days combined they were on foot a total of about 6 miles. On 28 May they birded southwestern Pond Mountain and the following is a list of birds seen.
