Hey Wallace,
     I don't know if it was the first, but I took photos of a cormorant on the 
beach at Steele Creek Park when I worked there, I believe it was in the fall of 
2001.  I can look up the date for you later if you want it.

Is this the first actual "in the park" record for Double-crested Cormorants? I 
know that the first park record was a flyover of several birds crossing over 
the Slagle Hollow Boundary coming from the Volunteer Pky wide.
