The White-faced Ibis in Johnson County is the 14th record for the state.
Ten are from West TN, one is from Middle TN, & now there are three from
East TN. The other two East TN records are from Hamilton & Hawkins
counties.

This is the 5th new species added to the list for the 5-county area of
Northeast TN since publication of Birds of NE Tenn, 2nd ed. (2008).

As for elevation, they breed at sites in Wyoming & Colorado that
are much higher. No nose bleeds for this bird.

Quite a nice find Michele.

This appears to be one of the highest elevation records
for the species in the state, if not the highest. At 2,210
feet elevation, it is possibly the only record for the
species in the mountain region of the state.
