Wow, Jason!  There we go:  a Bald Eagle in Scott Co., VA in June !!!!!!  We 
need to swarm all over
that short section of the North Fork Holston River.  If you get a chance, 
Jason,  you might kayak that
section again and see if you can spot a nest anywhere along there.  Maybe even 
watch for young being fed in a low tree somewhere along that section.  That is 
not a long distance.  You probably can find the area where you saw the eagle 
and put in closer to save time.

  I spotted a mature bald eagle while kayaking from the wadlow gap bridge in 
scott county to the carters valley bridge over the holston. He was perched 
about 25 ft above the water halfway between wadlow gap and weber city.
