Area Birders, I took a walk in the woods on my property today and flushed 4 Wild Turkeys in the snow. A flock of about 12 were regulars to my yard until the snows started. They came for the apples underneath the apple trees. A Northern Mockingbird has taken up residence in the Trumpet Vine along the driveway. Its main diet seems to be the apples that the deer dig from the snow at night. It has never come to the suet feeder only a few yards away. Enjoy the birds, Roger Mayhorn Grundy, VA mayhorn@xxxxxxxxxxxx ************************************************* BRISTOL BIRDS NET LIST This is a regional birding list sponsored by the Bristol Bird Club to facilitate communications between birders and bird clubs of Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee.
