Fascinating history. Thank you! I started birding when I was ten years
old with a pair of binoculars loaned to me by my grandfather. My uncle
had bought them for him while he was stationed in Germany with the Air
Force. How I wish I had received the mentoring of some of the young
folks you tell us about!
