Yes, and on Arbor Day trees will given away at ETSU as part of the Opening festivities..... -----Original Message----- From: bristol-birds-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bristol-birds-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Jack Litz Sent: Friday, March 22, 2002 9:44 PM To: Bristol Bird Lists Subject: [bristol-birds] Trees at ETSU In regard to Marion Finucane's comments about the trees at ETSU and with the thought that trees are more than just places for birds to perch, I would like to add that there is an incredible diversity of trees maintained on campus. The campus has been thoughtfully prepared for designation as an Arboretum and should receive that designation when the requirement for properly descriptive signs has been completely fulfilled. A brochure with a map showing each tree is available from the Biological Sciences Department. With the map a Botanist could take field trips on campus as The Appalachian Flora and other Botany classes do.
