The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has
verified the third Tennessee county with what
they believe is good evidence of a Mountain
Lion. This has led to a TWRA taskforce or
verification committee to handle such reports
which are coming in from persons capturing
images with a trail camera.
You must absolutely view every second, image
and photo in this Nashville WSM-TV feature which
includes the actual video taken in Middle Tennessee.

We need to carefully focus on this "evidence"
as we learn more and more about the possibility of
a small population in Tennessee. At this time, no
one has enough information to determine the source
of these animals. It is premature to say that three
animal photo captures are from any source, wild population expansion
or domestic releases/escapes. In the long run, the source will
not be important, except to those who like to predict
such things. We will either have an expanding population
or we won't, even if the soures is a surprise found in a
Cracker Jack Box.
