At noon I spotted an immature Surf Scoter at Steele Creek Lake, as viewed from
the Nature Center. It is in the company of a flock of at least 36
Double-crested Cormorants (a similar sized, probably the same, flock of
D-c.Cormorants was seen here last Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011).
