I noticed your post around 3:30 p.m. and ran out the door to see what I
could find (we had a dinner date at 5:30 p.m. and had company until around
11:00 a.m.). I headed toward Chinquapin Grove Road, traveled about a half
mile, and since I had not located any Snow Geese, stopped to check your
email for location again. Just as I stopped the geese flew over my car,
headed back in the direction of Bluff City. Had I been a minute later than
I was, I probably would have missed them. I looked for them on my way back,
but did not locate them anywhere. Just wanted to let everyone know.
I also found an immature Cooper's Hawk on a limb hanging over the road.
Thanks Tom for the info!!!

Currently (as of 12:00pm), there are 12 Snow Geese and 6 Ross’s Geese on a
hillside along Chinquapin Grove Road (about 0.8 miles from Highway 44).
Also, four Common Mergansers on the river along Highway 44.
