In the Limestone area of Washington County this afternoon:

Solitary Sandpiper (5 at the main cow pond on Clark Road);
Short-billed Dowitcher (at the main cow pond on Clark Road (apparently an adult griseus race bird still mostly in alternate plumage));
Bank Swallow (in a flock of Barn Swallows at the main cow pond on Clark Road);
Dickcissel (Keebler Road 0.2 mile from Corby Bridge Road).

At the intersection of Holley Creek Road and Brown's Bridge Road in Greene County at dusk today:

Spotted Sandpiper (2 calling as they flew down Holley Creek toward the Nolichuckey River).

Shorebird habitat is so uncommon in northeast Tennessee that every migratory sandpiper and plover is a real treat.
