Thursday evening, 9/16/04, just before dark, from the north side of the river I could see a number of shore birds on the south side near Humprie's property at Austin Springs. My best guess was 9 Lesser Yellowlegs, 3 Greater Yellowlegs, 4 Least Sandpipers, and 3 Pectoral Sandpipers. I saw a bird that might have been a Sanderling. Friday moning, 9/17/04, at sunrise, from Humphrie's property I found 1 Double-crested Cormorant 2 Great Egrets 3 Great Blue Herons 1 Green Heron 2 Wood Ducks 50+ Canada Geese 3 Mallards 22 Blue-winged Teals 1 Osprey many Killdeers 5 Semipalmated Plovers 2 Least Sandpipers 3 Pectoral Sandpipers 1 Solitary Sandpiper 1 Spotted Sandpiper 6 Lesser Yellowlegs 100+ Chimney Swifts Larry McDaniel ************************************************* BRISTOL BIRDS NET LIST Bristol Birds Net Photo Gallery located at: http://f2.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/jwcoffeyy/album?.dir=/efd5 This is a regional birding list sponsored by the Bristol Bird Club to facilitate communications between birders and bird clubs of Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee. -------------------------------------------------- You are subscribed to Bristol-Birds.
