Area Birders, Late yesterday, I glanced out the window to see a large immature Sharp-shinned feeding on a freshly killed Mourning Dove. The hawk had made a pass by the feeders earlier, but had come up empty taloned. From the size I would judge it to be a female. It is much larger than the small adult male that has been a regular here for awhile. Enjoy the birds, Roger Mayhorn Grundy, VA ************************************************* BRISTOL BIRDS NET LIST This is a regional birding list sponsored by the Bristol Bird Club to facilitate communications between birders and bird clubs of Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee.
