On Tuesday, Sept. 2, Howard Langridge, Elizabethton; Reece Jamerson, Johnson City; and Bryan Stevens, Hampton, birded on Holston Mountain in Carter County and at Musick's Campground at South Holston Lake in Sullivan County. On Holston Mtn, from 7 a.m.-noon: 7 Warblers (Blackburnian, Cape May, Hooded, Chestnut-sided, Black-and-white, Black-throated Green, and Black-throated Blue) Osprey (flying over) Numerous Eastern Towhees Red-eyed Vireo and numerous Blue-headed Vireos Scarlet Tanager Eastern Pewee (2, perhaps 3) At Musick's Campground/TVA Access Area: from around 2:30 p.m.-4 p.m. Semipalmated Plover (1) on gravel road starting to peek above the lake's water Spotted Sandpiper (1) Common Terns (7) Great Egret (1) Great Blue Heron (1) and Osprey (1) ������ On a side note, I had a Hooded Warbler and Northern Parula at home in Hampton, TN, on Labor Day (Monday, Sept. 1). Also, on Monday, around 7 p.m., had 150+ Common Nighthawks fly over the boardwalk spanning the wetlands over the Linear Trail in Erwin, TN.
