Greeneville's Spring Bird Count was held today. I logged 15.75 hours, totaling
116 species, and am dog tired. Highlights included the following (individual
numbers not tallied yet):
Ruffed Grouse
American Bittern
Sora
Least Sandpiper
Eurasian Collared-Dove
Chuck-will's-widow
Whip-poor-will
Horned Lark
Sedge Wren
wood-warblers (20 species, including Yellow-throated Warbler, Blackpoll
Warbler, Cerulean Warbler, Northern Waterthrush, Kentucky Warbler)
