[Bristol-Birds] Saturday Birding, Wilbur Lake/Austin Springs

Reece Jamerson, Howard Langridge and Bryan Stevens found a Western Sandpiper, 
a Semipalmated Sandpiper and several Killdeer at Austin Springs, Boone Lake, 
in Washington County, TN, on Saturday, Sept. 20. They also observed a flock of 
50+ Blue-winged Teal in flight and two Double-crested Cormorants.
Earlier in the day, at Wilbur Lake, Carter County, TN, they observed an adult 
Bald Eagle. On the Watauga River coming back from Wilbur Lake they saw 42 
Blue-winged Teal. At Wilbur Lake there were a few Wood Ducks present as well as 
many Canada Geese and Mallards.

They found Palm Warblers throughout the day near Wilbur Lake and at Austin 
Springs. Other warblers included American Redstart, Cape May Warbler and Common 
Yellowthroat. Other migrants included Indigo Bunting and two Eastern Kingbirds 
near Blue Springs in Elizabethton, TN.
